Data cables

The most common disk cables are SATA (6 Gbps) and SAS (12 Gbps), while servers use specialized cables like OCuLink, Slimline SAS, and MCIO. For image transmission, DisplayPort and HDMI are used, which have higher speeds, on the order of tens of Gbps, and the ability to transmit audio compared to older cables (e.g., DVI). In terms of external cables, USB-C with Thunderbolt support is the most versatile, capable of serving as both a power and data cable with very high transfer speeds.
